DVD Encoding DVD Encoding is the process of preparing video tapes or video files for delivery on DVD media. Dub Express uses professional hardware to ensure the highest quality encodes in real time. We offer single-pass (constant bit rate) or dual-pass (constant bit rate or variable bit rate) to meet the specifications for your project. DVD Authoring DVD authoring is the process of creating interactivity features specific to the DVD format. This optional service is available for $120 per hour. There is a 1 hour minimum for this service. NOTE: There are four basic types of DVD: DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10 and DVD-18. The length of your video project and the compression rate of your output will determine which type is appropriate for your job. DVD-5: single side, single layer, 4.7GB capacity DVD-9*: single side, dual layer, 9.4GB capacity DVD-10*: double sided, single layer, 4.7GB per side capacity DVD-18*: double sided, dual layer, 9.4GB per side capacity *Note: DVD-9, DVD-10 and DVD-18 are all replication formats and require masters on DLT DVD Duplication Basic Package (DVD-R or DVD+R DL) Package includes black thermal print on silver discs (DVD-R) or laser-printed white adhesive labels with black text (DVD+R DL).
